Notes
- A will for Richard Helsby of Cronton was proved in 1751 at Chester. He made his will on 11th April 1737 and proved on 24th May 1751 by John Johnson, the surviving executor. He left his property in Cronton to his wife Agnes, for her life, and then to be sold and £8 a piece paid to his daughters Jane Cockett, Mary Ashton and Rachell (sic)Chaddock and the residue to be divided between his 3 sons William, James and Charles. He also left two cottages at Cuerdly, held by lease to his son John. The executors were his wife and John Johnson of Farnworth. The will may not have been proved until after Agnes' death.
